My greatest sources of inspiration for faces and "schwung" are Alessandro Barbucci(picture: Sky Doll) and Yusuke Murata, who's drawing Eyeshield 21.
You should definitely check out Barbucci if you haven't... Both Sky Doll and Monster Allergy are awesome, and he did some work for W.I.T.C.H. in the beginning as well. Colors by Barbara Canepa.
